Are there healthy sweets?
By Samantha F. Grant, CN
Yes! If they’re made with Xylitol. Xylitol is a natural occurring sugar substitute found in the fibers of many fruits and vegetables like berries and mushroom. It’s also in oats, corn husks and sugar cane. It’s as sweet as sucrose and better for you. Want proof?
Try some Mexican hot chocolate this October, instead of candy:
8 oz unsweetened chocolate almond milk (like Almond Breeze)
1 tsp coco powder (like Dagoba)
2 tsp Xylitol (ABADI has a great one)
¼ tsp cinnamon
Whisk all ingredients into almond milk and warm on stove. Top with a sprinkle of cinnamon. Drink, and enjoy!
21 day fall cleanse begins October 3rd! Call me for details!
